Microblading FAQ
Microblading is a technique for creating semi-permanent makeup through a manual process of inserting pigment into the upper layer of skin, resulting in the desired shape and fullness of the eyebrows. Brows will be waterproof, smudge-proof and realistic-looking, complete with hair strokes. The result is beautiful for brows for up to 18 months, after which the pigment fades, leaving the skin and your brows in their original, natural state.
What is Microblading?
Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow procedure that is performed by a board-certified, trained technician using a hand-tool specifically designed to use single-use microblades.
How does it work?
The desired pigment is deposited into the superficial dermis of the skin using a sterile, disposable microblade which allows the technician to create crisp, custom hair strokes which look like natural eyebrow hairs.
How does it differ from semi permanent tattooing?
Microblading differs from conventional semi-permanent tattooing because it is a completely manual procedure. Unlike tattoo guns, handheld microblades deposit the ink closer to the surface of the skin, resulting in very fine and crisp hair strokes with no color diffusion into the surrounding tissue.
Who can have Microblading?
As with all semi-permanent makeup procedures, it is the practitioner’s responsibility to make sure that there are no contraindications to treatment. Please let us know if you have any preexisting medical conditions during your initial consultation. Your safety and health is our top priority!
How long does the pigmentation last?
Microblading lasts between 18-36 months. After this period of time, a color boost or touch is needed.
Does it hurt?
Like all semi-permanent procedures, microblading requires a topical anesthetic which is administered throughout the procedure, making the process relatively painless.
How much does it cost and what is included?
Our Microblading procedures start at $699.00, including an initial consultation. A Perfection Session is needed at 8 weeks after the initial treatment and is $100. (Prices are subject to change based on each case.)
